School is in session, Fall is coming, and depending on where you live, the Halloween stores are already beginning to emerge.
I live in the Midwest, and the seasonal Halloween stores are popping up. My children have bypassed the fact that to get to Halloween, we must first get through the first day of school, the start of football season, and the planning of the Big Fall Bonfire they like to do.
Can I be honest? Friends, Mama is overwhelmed! Between academics, extracurricular activities, and the demanding social schedule of a soon-to-be 13-year-old girl my plate is full of kid activities alone. This says nothing about Mama's demanding work schedule, as well as other changes occurring what seems to be daily for my children.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 (NIV)
"When my spirit was overwhelmed within me,
Then You knew my path." - Psalm 142:3 NKJV
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?" - Matthew 6:26-30 NIV
These are just a few verses that I have been clinging to as all of these changes are arising. There is a lot of uncertainty and a lot of things that I have no control over.
I cannot control how other students will treat my children. I cannot control the outcome on the field. I cannot control other's opinions or if others will be true to their word.
These verses remind me that no matter what, God is in control. It is He, and He alone that changes the hearts of man (Proverbs 21:1). God is in control of everything, and I need not fret. God has us.
New focus? Trusting God in all His plans, even the hard things. Believing that God will meet the physical and emotional needs of not just myself, but my children also. Knowing that he is Jehovah Jireh, The Lord our provider will supply every need that arises before it arises.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
Remembering that ALL THINGS, not just some, work together for the good of those who love him.
So, now I'm reminding you that you are blessed, highly favored, and loved by The Most High God. He will meet all of your needs, even when it feels impossible, or things aren't working out. He will find a way to use this as part of your testimony as He elevates you to where you are called to be.
For all my parents, I want to remind you that God loves your tiny humans far more than you ever could. He knit them together in the womb (Psalm 139:13). The Lord will cover and protect them.
I pray that as we enter into a new season The Lord will remind each of us that He is faithful. I pray that God will give us confirmation that He is both a mighty provider and protector.
I pray that The Lord will go before our children as they enter the school building for the school year. That He would protect them physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I pray that The Lord will be with our educators as they pour knowledge into our children. That God would lead the room and be the silent staff member in every room.
And I pray that God will supply every need we have. I pray for peace in the name of Jesus. I pray that God will show who He is in ways we have never seen before. That God would continue to bless us and the work of our hands. That God would bring others alongside us to encourage us as we run this race.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus,
Amen
I pray that the fall is a time of new life and growth for us all!
Until next time friends!
Blessings,
<3 Nia
