Who You Really Are

Hey friends!

It has been a while, but hopefully, I'm back for good. But let me tell you, life has been kicking my ass lately and I do not appreciate it one single bit. I'm now to the point where I'm going to stand on my own two feet and start fighting back. In another post in the future, I'll share more, but this post is more of an encouraging kind.

Have you ever seen Moana? At the very end when she restores Tefiti? It's the moment we all wait for in the movie as she bravely walks barefoot confidently toward this giant lava monster just to remind her who she really is. Moana reminds Tefiti that her heart does not define her and that the lava monster is not who she is, but the beautiful goddess.

I watched this movie the other day (alone and without kids), and it is almost as if I felt The Holy Spirit reminding me that my current circumstances do not define me, my status does not define me nor does my job define me. HE defines me. The only status that matters is my status as a daughter of The King. Here are some of the things God calls not only me but you as well:

Beautifully Made: Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Chosen: 1 Peter 1:2 [You] have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

Accepted: Romans 15:7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Forgiven: Psalm 103:12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Enough: 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Victorious: Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Special: Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Chosen: John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

Protected: Psalm 121:3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber;

Lovely: Daniel 12:3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

There are so many more scriptures just like these to help remind you who you are. God calls us all of these things. He provides for us. The enemy of your soul is the one who tries to distract you and make you feel like less than the royalty you are.

I pray that we will all be able to see ourselves as Christ sees us. I pray and ask that God's voice would be louder than the noise around us. I ask that our hearts and ears would be open to receiving all of the things that God has for us. In Jesus' name.

I am so glad to be back! I look forward to sharing more with you!

Blessings <3,
